    • We bought one of these a loooong time ago. Honestly this, like most high powered blenders are more blender than most people will ever need.

Maybe so but I freaking love it. I've been having a breakfast smoothie for well over a year and the Costco blendtect makes my double batch (2x28oz) a breeze.

I've made my money back in the health benefits alone.

For me it’s been ~10 years with less than 250 cycles on the counter. I wish I used it as much as you.

Oh boy, 449 and I bought it March 2018. Given I do double batches it could easily be twice that count!

    • Doesn't the cleaning cycle also add to the count?

Yup, when I use pulse on mine to clean it, it adds to the count. So divide by 2, lol

    • My blender just broke after 10 years. It only cost 60$ and did a decent job. Do I need to spend this much on a good blender?

Depends how blended you like your blends and how smooth you like your smoothies.

Once you use a high power one you can't go back. I thought it was silly until I tried it. Also lets you make milks like almond milk just by putting some almond butter in with water.

Edit: I have this one and I feel like it goes on sale on Amazon USA for 180-190 from time to time. https://www.amazon.com/Jamba-Appliances ... B00WHQV79I

The first thing i noticed was that with the blendtec the strawberry seeds are also pulverized and blended instead of just being mixed in.

    • Was looking at Vitamix for the longest time waiting for a sale but the Bendtec Fit went on clearance for $129 at Walmart, I freaking love it!

We are still learning the ropes but the wife seems to think our $60 Cuisinart blender was better as the FIt can't seem to blend up a puck (frozen greek yogurt) as well as the crappy Cuisinart could....

I have a pretty strong Ninja, what I found now is a bigger problem for me is introduction of 'air bubbles' in my smoothies (specially when I add in greens in) which cause upset stomach bloat. A common theme when you google high-speed blenders.
