    • Is there onboard storage for music? And if so- is there a way to use this functionality with iOS?

      edit:
      4GB storage
Store music and apps directly on the watch so you can leave your phone at home.

Now just need to know if music can be transferred when in an iOS environment

    • Hmmm. Highly debating on buying a newer Fossil smartwatch. My old one is quite useless.

    • This is a great price for SD3100 watch. From my research over the break, 512MB ram can be limited for WearOS. Biggest benefit of SD3100 over SD2100 is battery life.

As a point of reference, in the US outlet mall the price for Gen 4 was $99USD and gen 4 sport was $113USD.

Here is the breakdown of the watch specs:
      Gen 4 Sport (OP) : SD3100, 512MB RAM, 4GB Storage
      Gen 4: SD2100, 512MB RAM, 4GB Storage
      Gen 5: SD3100, 1GB RAM, 8GB Storage

    • Thanks OP, going to return my Garmin Vivoactive 3 for this. I much prefer the WearOS over Garmin's and I'll save some $ as well.

Found this but can't test it as I don't have a Mac.

    • Was looking at the specs on the site but doesn't say if this watch can track running pace/speed. Does anyone know?

    • I owned this watch for a few days before selling it. Very laggy and slow performance and abysmal battery life.

Yes, it has GPS built in. I've used it for running, kayaking, etc.

It has a built in gps, I don't use it myself as I always have my phone with me though, so it uses the GPS from the phone. Are you considering using it away from your phone?

    • I believe the $190 deal was for the Gen 5?

    • I've had this watch since early this year. Overall a decent watch. Love that it's waterproof and has GPS built in. I find it a bit slow compared to the newer models with 1GB of RAM. Mine also tends to freeze on me once or twice a week and needs a reboot. Good for the price (I paid the same a while back) but definitely wouldn't pay full price for this.

    • At this stage I wouldn't buy a Gen 4. Just wait for the sale on Gen 5, you will thank me later. The 1 GB ram makes a hell lot of difference on the performance.

Also with Gen 5 you can receive calls even with iPhone, don't think any other wearOS has this. They also have fossils different battery modes baked in, but I read the latest update for Gen 4 brings with it these battery modes. Whatever said, 512GB is very limiting for wearOS.
