    • Anyone know how the straps on these NF day backpacks are? I've had a few day or packable backpacks and they tend to have little to no cushioning on the straps, so carrying anything heavy in them leads to a lot of discomfort. I'm looking for a new backpack for my bike commute to work that doesn't cut my arms off when I'm carrying anything heavy.

This is the main reason I bought mine as well. NF backpacks are chiropractoer certified.

    • I can vouch for the quality and durability of North Face daypacks. Bought a jester in in 2012, it has literally been all over the world with me and it shows very little signs of wear and tear. These will last you a looooooong time.

    • My items are not showing any reduction when adding them to cart. Trying for the vault backpacks.

Edit: NVM, it's specific colors which are discounted. All the vault backpacks are OOS in clearance colors. 😔

    • Thanks OP, gave an upvote. Only thing about these NF backpacks, wish the middle sections of Recon/Surge had pockets too. Looks like the middle section is just a big cavity for stuff.

    • I bought a Hot shot, Vault and Jester.

Seeing some bad reviews on Vault but rest of the two seem to be rock solid.

Will see once they come and post up any feedback here.

Owned a jester for years, literally 10+. Was my daily motorcycle pack for half a decade. Took a lot of abuse including an accident! It is in nearly perfect shape today. Zippers have never failed, rock solid. The only reason I stopped was because I found a better special purpose motorcycle pack. Sure it's kind of faded but I used to regularly toss it in the washer on regular cycle and just dry it over a hanging rack. Jesus thinking about the amount of abuse it took I am stupified by its present condition.

In contrast, I got a trublu from an RFD deal a few months ago. Sure I got it for almost nothing but at MSRP I think they ask for like $30/40 but within a month my front pocket rivets failed and within another month after that the main compartment strap rivet failed. Like wtf, no sir, you're outta here.

40% off is still working. Just make sure you choose a backpack that has a price ending in .97 (BB's "signal" for clearance item).
