    Canadian Opera Company: Free Concert Series (GTA, Until June 6, 2012)

    The Canadian Opera Company (COC) is back with their free concert series, so get out your calendars if you want to experience performances by emerging and established artists. This series has been a popular event in the past, and it's a great way to spend your lunch if you happen to work/live near downtown Toronto.

    Here are some highlights from this season's upcoming performances:
    • Tuesday November 1: Reeds and Keys with Kornel Wolak (clarinet) and Chris Donnelly (piano)
    • Thursday, November 17: What to Do 'Til the Power Comes On with the TorQ Percussion Quartet
    • Thursday December 1: Artists of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Creative Explorations
    • Thursday, January 12, 2012: dances for one two three and four with Peggy Baker Dance Projects
    • Tuesday March 6, 2012: Canadian Art Song Project, A Celebration of Canadian Art Song
    • Wednesday March 21, 2012: Pictures at an Exhibition with Alexander Serendenko (piano)
    • Tuesday April 17, 2012: Spotlight on Young Artists with winners of the 2011 Canadian Music Competition
    The free performances take place most Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00-1:00P.M, and some Wednesday evenings, in the Richard Bradshaw Ampitheatre at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. These performances tend to fill up quickly, so head over early if you want to secure your spot!
