It's not a misprint. You really can fly from Vancouver to Hong Kong as often as you want over the next two months for just $1088 with the Air Canada Hong Kong Getaway Pass. The only catch is that you can only fly on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays but that's it; the taxes, fees, and surcharges are even included. If you don't mind flying on those days, this is a fantastic deal while it lasts.

The way the Air Canada site is setup, getting to it is a bit tricky, but here's the step-by-step instructions:

1. Go to AirCanada.com
2. Click on 'Flight Passes'
3. Click on 'Shop for Flight Passes'
4. Click on 'Limited Time Offers' and look for the Hong Kong Getaway Pass

      Residency:
      Available only to Canadian residents with a valid address, Aeroplan membership and password during the entire validity period.       Booking flight credits:

      One flight credit is required per direction including connections;
      Flight credit bookings are subject to availability of the N booking class;
      Flight credits can only be booked for travel between Vancouver and Hong Kong only;
      Flight credit bookings and check-in are permitted up to two (2) hours prior to scheduled departure time;
      Flight credits may be available for booking only 24 hours after purchase;
      Flight credits can be used only on Air Canada;
      Changes & cancellations:

      Flight credit booking changes are subject to availability; a $100 CA fee per direction, plus taxes, applies to booking changes and cancellations;
      Same-day changes done either at the airport, using web check-in or at a self-service kiosk are subject to availability; a $100 CA fee, plus taxes, applies;
      Flight credit bookings must be cancelled up to two (2) hours prior to scheduled departure time or penalty fee of $150 CA will be charged automatically to the original form of payment;
      No refund, in whole or in part, will be issued for any Flight Pass;
      Additional fees may apply for changes or cancellations through Air Canada Call Centres.
      Seat selection:
      Advance seat selection is complimentary when done at aircanada.com. Additional fees may apply for seat selection requested through Air Canada Call Centres.

      Upgrades:
      Upgrades to Executive First is not permitted with this Flight Pass.

      Payment:

      This Flight Pass Option is purchased in one (1) payment to be paid by credit card at time of purchase;
      Prices include all taxes, fees and surcharges;
      Aeroplan Miles:

      The purchaser will earn 10,000 Aeroplan Miles for the entire travel period to be credited to the purchaser's Aeroplan account within four (4) weeks from the date of purchase;
      This offer is subject to change or cancellation at any time.
      Aeroplan Miles do not qualify for Air Canada Top Tier Status.
      Accumulation of miles is not based on distance flown.
      These terms and conditions may change at any time without notice and other conditions may apply.

      I believe this is the final kick in the ass towards Oasis.

      Even of Oasis gets a new buyers, all of the potential customers would have purchased a ticket from Air Canada or Cathay.

      You never know if Oasis gets a new buyer, they may resume their services. But chances are, with a promotion like this, Oasis is gone for good. Air Canada clearly wants Oasis out of the competition.

      well i guess promotions like this tend to mean that aircraft to asia are rather empty on monday's, tuesday's, and wednesdays.

    • nice find, but as an Oasis victim, it's pretty much all loss.. it's cheaper to buy another two-way ticket from a travel company than to get this if you're planning to go and return from HK for vacation..

    • if you need the status miles that bad then instead buy the regular asia pass for about $2500(western canada to Asia) or $3500(eastern canada to asia), and for that you get(no fuel surcharge) 6 one-way flights between canada and hk, beijing, shanghai(mix and match) and you get full status miles.

      I'm guessing they jacked up the prices for this promotion? A few weeks back, they were still $700 + fees/tax for YVR/HKG return trip in A class.

      also probably a bit of left over fall out from OASIS airlines going down earlier this week. all those passengers have to rebook on another airline.

      Right, forgot about that. So you don't get a special discount when reserving through that? Then what's the point of a special dedicated reservation line? The reserved seats/oversized baggage/lounge access/upgrade tickets are normal Elite/Super Elite benefits anyways.
