This Thursday, February 23 is Seniors' Day at Shoppers Drug Mart and they're running two great one-day promotions. Seniors with an Optimum Card will be able to take 20% off their purchases and will receive a $10 gift card if they buy more than $50 worth of goods. This is definitely a good time to stock up as these deals only come around every so often.

In conjunction with Seniors' Day is the 20x the Points Event which makes this an even better time to shop and allows you to earn bonus points on things you would normally buy anyway! Who doesn't like getting more for less, right?

Chapters has just launched an in-store points program (similar to other retailer-specific points programs, like the Shoppers Optimum Points program). It's called Plum Rewards and you'll get 10 Plum Points for each dollar you spend in-store. Unfortunately, points cannot be accumulated on online purchases (and generally, online prices are better than in-store prices), although your Plum Rewards membership you will get an extra 5% off books bought online. If you sign up and complete your online profile you'll get a bonus 500 points. Here's how the redemption levels break down:

• 2,500 Points = $5
• 4,5000 Points = $10
• 8,5000 Points = $20
• 20,000 Points = $50
• 35,000 Points = $100

Chapters also says they'll have "plenty of bonus offers throughout the year" so you'll be able to snag some extra points that way.

If you're a Chapters shopper, it certainly can't hurt to grab a free membership. Even if you're not an in-store shopper, you'll be able to get an extra 5% off your online purchases.

Chapman's Ice Cream has a great website for kids. At Chapman's KidsClub.ca, kids can register an account and play games like jigsaw puzzles, Breakout, memory, solitaire, wordsearches, and more. Winning the games earns points, and the points can be redeemed for free prizes including keychains, fridge magnets, plush dolls, stickers, calculators, pens, markers, and more. There is a limit of how many points one can earn per day, and how many of each prize one can receive each year.
