HMVdigital.ca, which is HMV's new digital music service, has just launched. As an introductory offer, your first order of up to 10 tracks entitles you to an equal number of tracks for free! So for instance, if you buy 5 songs, you receive 5 for free. After your purchase is complete, you will be emailed a PIN code voucher for your free downloads. The free downloads must be redeemed by December 31, 2009.
HMVdigital.ca operates on a pay-per-song model and audio downloads are offered as MP3 files (320K, 256K, or 192K). The prices that we see look pretty standard ($0.99 - $1.29 per track in most cases), but with the introductory promotion, you can get 20 tracks as low as $0.50 each, which is pretty good!
