  I've played with win7 x64 and had found a lot of difficulty in getting a lot of custom s/w to work... so for now 32 it is.

On PCMark Vantage, a synthetic benchmark that measures overall system speed, the notebook scored a whopping 6,937, which is more than double the thin-and-light notebook category average of 3,467 and over 1,000 points higher than the ThinkPad T400s (5,893) which has a 2.53-GHz Core 2 Duo SP9600 CPU. The score was so high that it nearly matched the HP EliteBook 8440w (6,975), a mobile workstation that features a higher-end 2.66-GHz Intel Core i7-620M. (from laptop mag)
  
  Its a really tough decision for me - I mean price/value wise the Thinkpad really trumps all. The competition is pretty steep though, there is also the Studio 14 from Dell, Asus K42JR (which has the advantage of a 2 year warranty, Good Video card, and leading reliability), Samsung R480 (better video card, but I have no idea about the quality), Big thing with the Lenovo is that it has a i7-620 (pretty beefy processor, but will it hurt the battery life vs the T410's with the i5's?)... Any opinions??

- I have been considering either the ThinkPad or the Studio XPS 16, for now only thing Dell has to this machine is the screen and 'cool' factor, spec/feature-wise, can't beat the ThinkPad with this coupon and prices.

- Apparently you can't switch graphics...theres a huge debate, but the chip comes with an integrated graphics core whether or not you go with the nvidia discrete chip so it doesn't make sense. Also a good thing to note, is that with the T410's display port, you can use an adapter to HDMI to have both hi def video and sound...although I'm not sure how just the intel graphics will handle that :P I think I am probably going to order one myself as well, now the question is....is it worth getting the nvidia graphics, or the ssd? Hmmmm....

- I came across one yesterday but sorry I don't remember where it was. The biggest things to note, was that between the T510 and T410, there was little to no screen bending (the T410 somewhat contorts apparently when opened), as well as the screen, obviously being available in 1080P resolution. There was no mention of battery life or anything else, just that the screen was more sturdy.

  Apparently the Displayport provides digital sound only with the discrete nvidia graphics. This has something to do with video drivers being tied to digital sound capability. A poor design but at least digital sound is possible with a displayport unlike the previous platform.
