      Got a few of them for $179.99.. didnt think prices could go any lower so soon.. time for price protection!

      FS always has their own mfg id number for the bfg, evga cards... usually off by 1 digit. makes PM more fun

      Better value, possibly.. but a better choice is arguable... based on the principle that generally new generation cards would have worked out kinks from previous gen.. plus the EVGA 9800GTX+ futureshop sku includes hdmi adapter kit.

      this is a better deal than the 8800gt at 99, btw I only saw the 9600gt in flyer at 99 but I may have missed the 8800.

      Anyways this particlular 9800GTX+ has an 876 part number not listed on EVGA site, I have one will be returning for the PM, end cost will be 140 after using GC in addition

      But here is the cream the clocks on the card match the SCC clock speeds on EVGA site, this is similar to when FS sold the 8800GT Vanilla version and it came with KO clockspeeds. There was another buyer of the 9800GTX+ in another thread ewho can vouch it is the SCC card

      BONUS

      If you can wait until Monday when the web site has it's 15hour sale, it should be 10% off making it $152.99.

      Also the online sale does not include already on sale items. On the other hand, you can get a further discount on the $99 8800GT at Futureshop.

      When I made comment the 9800GTX+ is better value depends whether you feel $70 extra, info is abundant in other threads, it will allow one to play on a 24" LCD that not all have but an 8800GT just does not cut it ay 1920x1200 as I have had one. Even 9800gtx+ is just there , which makes me think the GTX260 for 219 plus tax after GC may be a worth looking at personally. Also the 9800GTX + is a 55nm die, extremely good cooling and very very quiet but needs 2xpci-e power

      Here is a quick link showing some diff but only has 9600GT in the tests however 8800gt and 9600 gt are pretty equal up to 1680x1050, COD4 uses the 9800GTX +'s extra power

      Hey Cisco Kid.. I'm the guy you mentioned who can vouch the FS EVGA 9800GTX+ performs like the Super Super Clocked edition.

      Remember.. if you switch to GTX260.. I dont think you can step up to the 55nm GTX 260.. But perhaps the 55nm GTX 280. I'm holding on to my 9800GTX+ and waiting to step up to 55nm GTX 280 or whatever else is good within 90 days.. if warranted. I'm actually quite happy with this 9800GTX+

      For the other guy who mentioned something about the 9800GTX+ being a bigger card as a negative. The length can be a negative yes. But the double slot cooling is a positive as it vents heat outside the case.
