    • Wow, this is hot. $699 is what I'd expect to pay for a 720P.....but I have a feeling that come boxing day these are gonna be dirt cheap. Good for a Christmas gift though.

      Here is a thread on AVS forum with some rather favorable reviews. I notice there were two posters complaining of scan lines when games on the 360, but no one mentioned this problem when it came to hooking up the PS3. Odd..
      Xbox 360 users are like Domestic car owners, they complain about them to anyone who will listen.

    • Don't even think about buying the Kaser 8GB USB drive. I bought one and it crapped out in a couple weeks. It has moving parts that you can hear. Sounds like a mini hard drive when you plug it in. It has a 1.4 rating on Best Buys web site. They should just throw them all out.

      Never base your buying decision on how it looks in the store. The employees usually tune and/or connect the more profitable units to better signals.

      That's a Myth. The big box Bestbuy and Futureshop stores connect all the tv's using the same connection. They would be smart to do otherwise, but they don't.

      As for tuning, they just set the tv to stock settings.

      I have friends that did/do work at different locations.

      I would say they are having problem with their friends.

      btw dynex make the crappiest dvd discs ever, i personally experienced 20%+ failure rate.

      I actually found some TV's hooked up via coax, whereas the more expensive ones hooked up via component. Now tell me how this is in any way a fair comparison?

      then it could be a PEBKAC failure.

      i've burned over 600 dynex discs, and not a single one coastered.

      get a new dvd drive. it'll solve all your problems.

      Owning the brand means they own the name. Many companies that own a brand will commission different manufacturers to make items with their brand on it.

      For example Dynex could contract 3 different manufacturer's to make a 19, 40 and 52 inch TV's and they will all be labelled Dynex. (Not that they do.. I haven't got a clue who makes their TV's).
