The S2209W is a nice pickup if you didn't land it during Days of Deals (or its slightly larger brother in the S2309W). For those of you that want pretty high resolution but lack a huge amount of desktop space, a 22" LCD with 1920x1080 resolution works out nicely. The Philips upconverting DVD player also looks like a decent value.

  No HDMI, so only 1080i; amongst others... better off with the WDTV if you have an HDTV. ~80 is the typical sale price for this unit.

- Yeah but people got spoiled with the S2309 when dell had it for $169.... so the 22 inch for $169 is kinda makes us think this is warm and not hot...

  It is one of the best up-convert with USB and HDMI ports. The firmware can be upgraded for better functions like 48-characters movie title. It is good price with free shipping from Dell.ca. BTW this machine works with many movie formats Divx, AVI, Mpeg2, etc but not with MKV (this is not a HD machine). This is the best bang for the money for people with HD and CRT TVs. I would recommend it.

  agreed but my time machine is in the shop. Apparently I need a new flux capacitor and the dealer is having a hard time sourcing the part because it has not been invented yet.
