The sale we've been waiting for has finally started! With Target stores coming to Canada in less than a year, select Zellers stores started their liquidation sales this week.

To see a list of all liquidation stores, visit the liquidation website. No details on specific sales have been announced, as it seems to vary store by store.

Liquidation stores have a few new store policies in effect, so be sure to read through the updated policies before heading in to shop. Keep in mind that:

• Liquidation stores do not participate in the Zellers flyer deals, or HBC credit and HBC rewards offers
• All sales at liquidation stores are final. No returns, exchanges or price adjustments.
• Vendor coupons are accepted at liquidation stores, but Zellers/Facebook coupons will not be accepted
• Seniors' Day discounts will not be offered at liquidation stores

Although the site is from Crayola -- which is a company in the business of selling crayons -- we thought that the advertising was kept to a minimum and the activities were pretty fun. Your kid can definitely kill an hour or more exploring -- which just might save your sanity!

Chapman's Ice Cream has a great website for kids. At Chapman's KidsClub.ca, kids can register an account and play games like jigsaw puzzles, Breakout, memory, solitaire, wordsearches, and more. Winning the games earns points, and the points can be redeemed for free prizes including keychains, fridge magnets, plush dolls, stickers, calculators, pens, markers, and more. There is a limit of how many points one can earn per day, and how many of each prize one can receive each year.

You will also find other activities and freebies like colouring, a birthday planner, and e-cards.

Visit Johnson & Johnson's sleeping site for babies and download five free lullabies!

Just click on Tools for Better Sleep and select Sweet Lullabies -- there you'll find links to download "Lullaby and Goodnight", "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star", "Hush Little Baby", "Rock-A-Bye Baby" and "All the Pretty Horses".
