I doubt they'd drop it this winter. Halo 2 alone will move Xbox'es.
Check sometime E3 next year when Xbox 2, PS3, GC2, PSP hype machines are all the rage.

But after Halo 2 what's next? The thing is there are no real good upcoming games for the system and developers and slowly backing off. It seems my predictions were correct that PS2 will live longer in the market.

Xbox isn't going anywhere. It made it the first couple years with Halo carrying it on it's back. Halo2 can surely handle the load for the last year or two until round 2 with PS3 and Xbox2. Going into the next gen systems Sony doesn't have a strangle hold like it did last time. I'd say they're almost looking like Nintendo was before playstation came out. |

Still a few games to go: Conkers, Forza,Splinter cell 3, Mech Assault 2, top Spin 2 I I'm sure Ms has asked folks to drop Xbox 1 development after this year

One upcoming XBox game that is sure to be a big seller is KOTOR 2, due out in December 2004. I'm actually far more excited about that one than Halo 2.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a price drop to $150 sometime in Spring 2005. Video game sales usually drop off as the weather gets nicer. But this is pure speculation on my part. Last edited by Kurtz7834; Nov 1st, 2004 at 01:50 PM.. |

You would that there would be some kind of price drop for the xbox just to keep competetive with the price of the new slim PS2.
