Default would weight gainers help me bulk up

ever since school started been hitting the gym frequently 4-5 a week. i see results (leaner, toned) but I want to bulk up a little bit more.

would those lean weight gainer shakes help me accomplish this?

at the moment, i am drinking creatine and protein shakes (1 of each per day) should i just increase this or adding weight gainer to the mix be a better route to go?

i dont want to gain pure fat, or else i would just eat lard hehe, i just want to bulk up a bit.

any other suggestions of what i should try? I'd talk to the people at nutrition house but i get the feeling that they're just trying to push me to buy the stuff their selling.

you can't really fight your body type.

dont see the point in weight gainers, just consume more cals. Clean foods are best.

they should!

a friend and I (when we were young) got one of these mixes and had the shakes everyday (but never bothered to go to the gym) .... .i think the "weight gain 2000" worked!

Try the stuff. If you don't notice any Bulk gain after 6 months, give up. Thats your body shape.

Before trying that stuff do you know what your caloric intake is daily? What I recommend is keeping a journal of all the foods you eat and total up how many calories you have a day. How much do you weigh and what is your height? That'll give us a better idea on what your intake should be to gain more lean weight.

A good (free) online journal can be found at http://www.fitday.com

You may also want to check out the http://www.finertia.com, there are some knowledgeable people there who can help you further.

I've tried those weight gainers. If you follow their instruction for making the shakes, the shakes are really thick. You are suppose to drink those AND eat your meals normally as you would but I couldn't do it. These shakes filled me up like it was a meal.

So for me, they didn't work. I lost my appetite for the real food after drinking these.

I don't think it would be a very good idea. You might develop some stomach problems.

Try to be more specific pfdude, you'll scare the lad away .
You WON'T develop stomach problems. There is only one thing you CAN get, and that's gas/extra poo, and yes im upfront. All weight gainer is, is extra carbs + extra protein = extra calories. Eating more means pooing more. Say you normally eat 3 meals a day. Taking 2 shakes everyday along side that could mean up to 1000 extra calories a day. That's a significant addition of gas + poo.

But eventually, unlike the dude who lost his appetite, you will develop cravings for bigger meals if you stick to your shakes daily, and you WILL gain mass (you must work out at least 3 times a week though). And PUSH yourself when you workout.

Goodluck. It worked for me, it worked for a lot.

The key to bulk properly has nothing to do with the weight gainer itself, but rather how much overall calorie you consume each day for at least a few weeks consistantly. Use weight gainer only as a "supplement" but try to get as much good calories from real foods. Check out www.finertia.com, it has some pretty good info on bulking.
