Default wireless home theatre rear speakers?

Sony as them for a home theatre in a box set up.

Is there someone else that does but do it for less then $999. ($899 on sale at Sears this week) or an after market device that will do the same job? I'd run wires but its not easy since I have hardwood and going along the wall isn't an option.

You mean like this?

Rocketfish Wireless Speaker Kit (RF-WHTIB)

I think drilling is still your best bet for best quality, but this could work well for some people

Wireless = Loss of SQ

Wired = Best SQ.

ended up just drilling a hole down to the basement and running the wires across and drilling another hole where the rear speakers were mounted.

saved $$$ and problems.

if u dont have a basement(or access to fish wires), try to look for the running board speaker wire white cover @ home depot.

something like this, but when installed on top of the running board can look hidden.
Yeah, its called Wire Mold....using some of that to run some cables in my apartment, since walls and ceiling are all plaster and poured concrete. Drilling and running lines in the walls isn't an option, and this stuff makes it look clean. Not sure if its all the same, but the stuff i got has double sided tape with it, so you don't need to screw in anything.

Cool.

Rocketfish Wireless Speaker Kit looks like the ticket. I am going to try ebay or best buy US for more $$$ savings!

The thing with running wires is that one side of my room is hallway, the other side is the main door way. I'll revisit the wire molding as that is probably cheapest option by far.

RFD is starting to get really resourceful for solutions. (and just not for CRAZY PMs to save $5 bucks on $1000 things)

Kudos!

The only wireless rear speaker package that I would actually recommend anyone is the KEF KHT5005. They go for $3000+ for the entire 5.1 speakers so it's over most people's budgets, but their rear wireless is done quite well especially since they've got independent subwoofers for the rear.
