Just got off the 410, where people were driving stupid slow.
Beautiful day, road was clear of snow and ice .... C'MON people, you should be driving at least 100 km (its not called a speed limit for nothing), and leaving the passing lane open for everyone else. |

Flow of traffic, regardless of which lane you're in, will adjust downward in speed to the lowest common denominator.
If the sign posts 100, that is actually the legal maximum, not the speed "at least" people should be travelling at.

Will the government do any of that? Of course not. Why? It's not good for their bottom line, and it's not good for insurance companies who justify high rates in general with the fact that there's so many bad drivers out there. Instead the government will make pull-the-wool-over-the-eyes-of-the-people laws about "stunting" and "street racing" which the majority of the public eats up and loves, without even thinking about what would really help road safety.

I was watching Canada's worst driver and they were in Barrie on the 400. I go to school there so I recognized everything.
The guy who the voted to be worst driver "STOPPED" in the merging lane. Imagine that

Exactly! It is sad to see that there are many people like that out on our highways. No idea how in the world those people got their license. Cops are out there catching people going 50km/h over, yet not ticketing people stopping in merging lane, merging onto hwy with traffic flow of 100km/h at 50km/h or those driving 80km/h on the left lane in express on hwy 401 holding up 50 cars behind them.

I hate it!
Going South, after you pass Derry Road and gets even worse as you hit 401. It was never like that before, first I countered I thought there was an accident...I was WTF was that. On the way home is even worse. |

haha it's so true. Everytime I'm heading east by taking where the 403 merges with the 401, the 410 Brampton north lanes are always stuck at a halt when it cuts through the 401.
