Default What social events has your company done?

Hey guys,

I'm curious to see what company social event you have been involved in in the past? I'm looking for some fresh ideas for an event I need to plan. I will be during the summer months, that is the good news.

In the past we have had:
Beach day
Go carting
BBQ's
Horseback ridding
etc..

Others?

BBQ
Sunrun
Science Funrun
tennis
softball

I always suggest a contact sport like hockey or football, for some odd reason always gets rejected. I think it's a get way for people to vent themselves and form new bonds.

Lemme guess what the teams would be, all managers and vps on 1 team, peons and everyone else on the other, right?

Default hmmm

I once suggested dog-sledding in algonquin park but they turned me down. Soooo disappointed....

How about a local bar with pool tables and free finger food (oops.... that one's tired)

Lol....

We were spending a lot of money on office supplies so we went on a PM scavenger hunt at Staples.

At one of my old co-op jobs the company threw this HUGE barbecue. They rented out a baseball stadium (Nat Bailey) and had laser tag, sumo wrestling, jousting, giant human in the ball bowling, a pseudo-jeopardy setup, some elvis dude, a big food tent, a beer garden, and fridges scattered throughout the field filled w/ different kinds of frozen treats. When I arrived I couldn't believe it. It was all free too, except for the booze. Well, everyone got their first drink free.
