Default What are repost policies?

I have been a member of about a year but what are the repost rules?
I just posted a thread about the drop in price in the WD MyBook 1 GB but it was locked because it was considered a repost. I disagree because there was no stand alone thread with the subject. Yes, there were discussions about it in other threads. But those were embedded into other topics and other people would not see it unless they searched for it.

Provide us with a link to the thread that was locked?

From what you said it doesn't sound like a repost at all... mods do make mistakes, they're people too.

BTW, who locks these threads? I assume the moderators do it.

There was a price drop in the passport 160 GB from $126.99 to $119.99 since the last time I was in Costco, so I thought I would let people know about it.
It will be a great deal with the $20 off coupon in July.
I promise I will not start any more threads on this topic but will just update it.
