What courses should I take in my gr.11-12 years if I want to become a computer/electric engineer?
and are there any required courses to get into UW |

all your pre-requisites will be given to you by your guidance councellor so don't worry about it.. for grade 11 just follow your academic maths and chemistry and physics and you should be okay, also think about taking a programming course, it'll make your life a bit easier when you go into comp engineering especially

When I got into UW CompEng here are the required courses I had to take in grade 12.
Calc. Algebra and Discrete Chem. Physics English And if you can take an intro to Programming course can help you zoom through that stuff when you take it in Uni. As for grade 11, they do not care about those courses...just make sure you take the pre-reqs for the courses mentioned above so that you can take them in Grade 12. a programming course was never a pre-requisite although it is recommended..
all my friends that got into eng sci (7 of them) never took one programming course in their life edit: oops sorry i thougth u meant going into first year from high school, yes you do have to take programming in first year so know it! |

a programming class is a good idea as 1st and 2nd year mandatory programming classes are basically repeat of these. It'll be worthwhile as you'll gain logical/problem solving skills
