Default What burning program do you use under Vista?

I've been fiddling around with Nero for hours and it's obvious it's not going to work under Vista. I've tried the older version and the newest version that is supposed to work under Vista. It won't even install. It's hopeless.

I need to find a good program to use to burn CD's. I'm trying to burn an .iso image onto a CD.

Any suggestions?

Yeah I tried it and it won't even install.
I got Alcohol 120% working though. It's only a trial version, but I just need it to burn a copy of Linux that I have. I don't burn many CD's or DVD's anymore.

What you need to do is download the INTERNATIONAL version of Nero 7, or else it will complain on vista that there is some file missing. I had a problem with the English download but the internation download works just fine.

Hi Shaner, have you tried t install nero in windows xp sp2 compatibilty mode...right click the exe and then choose xp sp2 compatibilty mode and then give a try...

Another option is to extract the exe to a folder (using winrar or any comaptible utility) and then run individual executables (may or may not work), as nero comes in a zipped format....

I just downloaded the latest nero 7.8.5.0 international version (around 400 mb), extracted it using winrar to a folder and ran "SetupX.exe".

MAke sure u do a custom install and disable all unneeded applications from installing.

Thanks for the help guys. I gave up trying to be honest with you. I just wanted it to burn a copy of Linux. I'm so sick of Windows, it drives me crazy.

I use 7.7.5.1 . No issues.

Linux wont solve the "sick of window"issue". It will result in the " I wish I could use that program" issue.
