check out imdb.com anytime you have a question about anything movie related: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119116/

in particular, look at the message board at the bottom--there are some theories there.

I remember like 7 years ago with my ex we went to Eaton Center to watch this miserable piece of ****. After 10 minutes we left and went to watch something else which I can't remember so it couldn't have been much better.

It was just another sci fi. I enjoyed it, when watching on tv, nothing special, good time waster ... that about it.

I find it hilarious some of the stuff they did to make it seem like it was futuristic. Like how all the cigarettes were like 70% filter.

And they made the president black, man that was (I thought) an amusing jab. I can imagine them sitting around thinking about it

writer1: hmmm...so how can we make it look like the future?
writer2: i know! make the president black!

Well every white girl have a black man and look around you'll certainly see alot of mixed kids so in the future seeing a white president might be a little far fetched in the future and an Asian president is just as possible but the hollywood community just not ready for that one.

Its an ok movie.

And how do you know they specifically made the president black to be more 'futuristic', rather than simply because he was better for the role? And black presidents in hollywood isn't a new thing or solely for 'futuristic' movies. Does Deep Impact and 24 ring any bells for you?

I found this movie to be pretty amazing!! It's on my top 10 list of best movies. Extremely well done and could be ahead of its time. I was watching it yesterday as I was browsing channels. Saw it way too many times though.

Me too. Although I can't say it is my top 10 (that needs some thinking), this is one of those that I can give a score above 75 out of 100.
