Web filters filtering my company's website as "porn" content....

Hello everyone, this is my first post and I am glad to see a vibrant community here dedicated to entrepreneurs!

My new company is focused on the import and distribution of premium quality kitchen and bathroom fixtures and several of my customers who logon to my site informed me that their web filters (websense and some corporate filters) are classifying my site as "porn" and blocked the access.

I tried to talk to my host Hostgator and they cannot confirm if my shared server is sharing similar IP range with another Porn server and there is no way I can contact websense. Here is my website: www.wasserware.ca

Has anyone else here experienced similar problems?

Some of the names are suspicious and even if they do not work now Websense could have your IP address in the database for a while.
Shared hosting often has drawbacks.

vozhyczak - THANK YOU SO MUCH. Indeed there are some "porn" sites under the same IP. I am going to hammer this out with my host.

Before you contact your host make sure you don't have any hidden virus in your website files.

Can some of you guys with web filters go back to my site to see if it is still classified as "bad" website? All my files are PDF files so there is no risk of virus. I just received a dedicated IP from my host.

Our "fun" filter at work here gives me access to your page.

lol no..that was not the reason which i suspected at first. Initially my hosting plan is on a shared IP address which means it is shared with other website of varying contents. Some of them turned out to be porn and hence flagged by the filters. I requested an dedicated IP shared by no one and now the issue is gone.

very common problem with a lot of different companies I have worked with.

fyi: Your site loads quite slowly...I almost thought it was busted.

ps: I thought it might have been your host..but did you check your first page? those picture files are quite large..I know we are living in the world of highspeed..but to have 150k pictures and small logo's and banners...I dunno....
