Post Walmart: Seagate FreeAgent 500gb $139.93

Seagate FreeAgent 500gb External USB 2.0 Harddrive is on sale @$139.93 at Walmart till 21st September 2007. This one has 5 years's warranty.

YMMV, pm FS or Staples/Bureau En Gros for $14 less as its cost $279.95 and $279.84 respectively.

Default eSATA?

I am interested in this drive. I am sure that it does have an eSATA connection. Can someone who owns this confirm it? Also, where can I buy a cheap SATA to eSATA cable?

This drive just has a USB 2.0 connection. The FreeAgent Pro has the eSATA connection.

Is there an ad for the Walmart one?

Staples here will not PM without an ad of some sort.

omg people...please read the product literature properly...geez

walmart sells the NON-PRO version for $139.
futureshop sells BOTH the PRO and the NON-PRO for $309 and $279 respectively.

For the person trying to pm, here is the futureshop link to the exact same Non-Pro ext. hdd:
http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/pro...0087571&catid=

also the Pro has both e-sata and usb2.0 connections.
the Non-Pro only has usb2.0.

i have both units and can comfirm this (as can the literature on fs website)

Good luck because they did this few weeks ago and Staples refused to pm with Walmart (online atleast). Futureshop does PM if you bring in the ad but in my case, they jsut matched the price as it was almost their cost at the time.

That is not a valid reason to refuse price-BEAT the competitor.

The policy say they will beat competitor's price with 10% of difference. You should not have accepted it and get your extra 10% back.
