Default Wal-Mart 30pk Blank DVD's $14.97

Not quite as good as the BB Fuji's, but Wal-Mart has the 30-pk Memorex DVD+R's and -R's for $14.97 for Boxing Week, the sign said.

Plenty in stock in the Jean Talon/Decarie store in Montreal as of 9pm tonight. Both + and - R are available and are 8x compatible.

you guys would be better off getting 4x dvd-r prodiscs with the verbatim code. I get them for 20 bucks for 50 and they can even burn at 8x on my pioneer 108. www.ucompus.com has them at 17.39 but im not sure if they have the verbatim code.

Yeah, me too. For me, I burn at the lowest (usually 2.4x) no matter what discs I have. That way, all discs burn well. And, I've got the time.

It may depend on your DVD burner. The memorex discs (code: CMC-MAG-E01) I bought work well with my Benq1620 at 8X. Nero CD-DVD speed shows that the quality is very good.

BTW, this is a repost :-) Some people (like me) bought it before Xmas.

hey bigchanger, i just bought the BenQ 1620 dvd burner and as well as those BenQ 8X DVD-R discs from futureshop but for some reason it doesn't seem to recognize those discs although they're both the same brand???
i was thinking if it's the firmware but when i tried installing the firmware it says "drive not supported"??? the firmware on the benq website starts with "B" and my drive starts with "G". does yours start with "G" as well?

just wondering if you're having that problem with any brand of discs you have with that drive, thanks.

I'll buy another pack of +R if Walmart lougheed (BC) carries Ritek R03. Someone shows that Benq1620 burns it at 12X with very good quality.

http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread....R03#post794905

A quick question: can I return a pack of DVD+R to walmart after opening the box? In case I buy another pack of CMC ...

Thank you for posting the media codes! Ritek burns well on my NEC but not on my LG. I may pick some up if the Benq -R's (hopefully Sony media code) I've got on order from FS turn out not to burn well on either of my burners.

That means u r having an OEM drive.. update to the G driver for OEM drive.. or u can hack it to the retail drive, and u can update for the B driver... but i think i heard digital dolphin saying that the newest B driver (Dec 23) is not too good..
