Years ago I took GEO509 - Geography of food and diet.

do NOT take this if you are not planning to go to class. It is extremely lecture based if you have Hersch Jacobs. Basically, lectures for 3 straight hours at an expeditious speed and ALL exams are based on lectures.

Arrow don't take a HISTORY

if you plan on not going to class, than you're screwed if you choose a history...
take a geography or economics if you plan on skipping.

Oh $hit. I have his course this september. Is he a hard marker? When he gives lectures, does he write it out or have power point slides or does he just say it? I hate prof's that speak real fast and don't even write it on the board like that course hst111 with john morgan. That guy was horrible.

Are there any easy economics courses? I also wanted to register for some other geography class called geography of sport or something.

He is sort of a hard marker. He doesn't write out or use powerpoint. Bring a laptop if you can to increase your typing speed. Also get a group of friends together for note sharing, as I don't recall there being a text.

Here's another hint: 1st day...he'll ask you to write down your favourite food on a piece of paper and hand it in. Pick as simplistic of a recipe as possible, because researching the exact origins of every ingredient will be your term paper. I picked Shnitzel, so it wasn't too too bad, but you have to research everything (down to the spices, including salt).

LOL. He won't let you do something that simple, but try something like:

Steak, cooked medium well, no spice, no salt w a baked potato, also no spices/ sour cream.

That will leave you with 2 things to research.

If you want a 20 page paper on Shnitzel & mashed potatoes, pm me and I'll see if I can dig it up somewhere. I remember getting an "A" on it.
