So, who else is going into 1st year engineering at UofT? I'm going into ECE and I'm really looking forward to it.

And for those of you who signed up for f!rosh week, what group did you get? I got omega

Only advice in frosh week: make sure you do damn well on that aptitude test, because your future will be seriously ****ed if you don't.

I actually slept in and didn't go... let's put it this way: it wasn't the smartest decision I've made.

The Rules:
#1. Defend the Cannon at ALL costs.
#2. Defend your hardhat.
#3. If someone loses their hardhat, give chase.

Some pointers:
  • Wear comfy running shoes and old clothing that you no longer need
  • Don't bring anything unnecessary (cameras, iPods etc...)
  • Don't stress too much about the aptitude test, as it only covers basic engineering topics (op-amps, Stokes' theorem, Heisenberg's quantum model etc)

At F!ROSH, you will see the true power of the mob. Straying off alone will get you jumped. Stay together and the predator-prey relationship is inversed.
Remember, Frosh Week is not reality.

Just remember that F!rosh week is the best time to meet new people.

- Make sure you go to as many events as possible to find out what you're interested in and to make some friends outside of your discipline.

- If you commute, try and meet someone that lives in residence. It's much more fun crashing downtown than having to leave early to catch the TTC.

- There's no better time to party (besides Godiva Week) since you'll get bogged down with classwork soon after.

I actually paid for the commuter program in my frosh week package, which basically means I get 3 nights of accommodation downtown during frosh week. Although, based on reviews, the place (Downtowner Inn) doesn't look so hot. I might just sign in and stay one night or something and crash at my friend's place the rest of the time.

Well, I slept in after an all night frosh party and almost missed it. An alert housemate rudely awakened us with about 10 minutes to spare. Maybe I should have slept through it as the killer hangover didn't help my score anyway.

I aint in Engineering but I am going to be in 2nd year, and am part of New College.

One moment I remember is the CHARIOT RACES. Three colleges attended I believe, New, St. Mike's and Eng.

They raced and there was a huge water balloon fight of sorts. Friendly competition. Good luck with eng, my friend is in engineering and she said she had a class about toilet paper or something along those lines.

ENJOY YOUR FROSH

show spirit, dye yourself purple, and your week will get very interesting and fun

F! Week is by far the best part of SKULE. Whether be it while you are F!ROSH, or in upper years, it is an absolute blast. Every single one of the people I met at F! week is a very close friend of mine to this day (I'm doing PEY, just finished my 3rd yaer), and will hopefully stay a close friend of mine after I graduate

Also, I'm an Eng Sci Comp, if you have any questions about engsci, computers, engineering, etc... please feel free to ask here, or in PM if you're more comfortable

I'm also going to be down there all week (taking the week off work), so I hope to see you all there

p.s. if you don't like the food, please don't tell me :P
p.p.s I'll be around wherever food is being handled
