Try leaving at the curb. I also live in Scarborough and put out a 32 incher and it dissappeared in two days, my stove was gone the same day. If not then you can take it to 1 transfer place, markham and Sheppard to have the city take car of it. Check their web site for hours of operation.

Can you not donate them to Goodwill? I could have sworn that they will pick up electronics and appliances that aren't working, using them to train people to repair them and then eventually selling the working items.

My father-in-law had some old stuff like that he was looking to get rid of. When he called around he was told to dump in in the dessert at the "shooting range" (he live in Nevada).
Yup, its just a place in the desert that people dump stuff and then other people come to shoot at. Good times. And, ah, no. I don't have any thing useful to tell you. Sorry. |

Join the freecycle group in your town ( http://www.freecycle.org/ ) and post the TV(s). I guarantee someone will be at hour house within an hour to pick them up.

In Vancouver, you can bring the tvs to Encorp Pacific. I heard that these things have fire retardents sprayed on them inside, so it's not safe to open this kind of stuff up.
