Anybody know how (if possible) to turn an avi file into a dvd movie?? That is, you can play it on any dvd player because the player thinks the disc is a dvd movie. Thanks.

There are several programs to do this.
You can use Tsunami's software TMPGEnc or TMPGEnc DVD Author. I think you can do it with Nero if you have the plug ins. But the easiest solution is to leave it as an .avi (DivX) and get a new player. The Philips 642 is a popular model that will play DivX and Xvid files (.avi) |

Thanks guys. I do have that player it's just that there is one movie that I got that it won't play. The video is kinda screwy. The sound is fine but the video is a little blurry. I guess it just needs an update or it's just the way it's encoded.

Good idea. Is there any settings I can use for divX to make it better?? Or is default fine. Thanks again.
