Default Turn avi into dvd

Anybody know how (if possible) to turn an avi file into a dvd movie?? That is, you can play it on any dvd player because the player thinks the disc is a dvd movie. Thanks.

Default TMPGEnc

There are several programs to do this.

You can use Tsunami's software TMPGEnc or TMPGEnc DVD Author.

I think you can do it with Nero if you have the plug ins.

But the easiest solution is to leave it as an .avi (DivX) and get a new player.

The Philips 642 is a popular model that will play DivX and Xvid files (.avi)

I agree, saves so much time. No more 1 1/2 hr. converting.

Thanks guys. I do have that player it's just that there is one movie that I got that it won't play. The video is kinda screwy. The sound is fine but the video is a little blurry. I guess it just needs an update or it's just the way it's encoded.

Default Video Play Back

Does it play okay on your computer?

If it does, then re-encode the .avi with VirtualDub and then burn it back onto DVD.

Default Xvid

Actually, you are better off to encode the video to Xvid.

Get the Xvid CoDec and the LAME encoder. That is the best combination.
