Default Tell me everything about applying for a university

BAM, go. I'll probably be applying this January or whenever it is.

-What's OSAP
-What do they look for
-What's the double-cohort
-Is it true it costs like $100 !

etc.

go ask your guidance councillor. But they shoulld do an adequte job in preparping you. You do it all through OUAC. The Price was....$110? last year and it covered 3 applications(or was it 5, I don't quite remember). For every extra applciation, I beleive it was another 50 bucks? 20? I barely remember this stuff.

They look for alot. Grades, Extracurriculars, try and get your hands on some old Supplementary forms.

Double Cohort was the cclass a couple of years ago that applied for university when OAC was eliminated. So, twice the amoutn of kids were applying for University at that time.

This is all brief, I'm sure others here can heklp you

It was $100 for the first 3 and $33 for each additional.

In terms of what they look for, it depends on the program. For some programs, they don't care about anything but marks. For other, more competitive programs they'll look at grades and ECs. Most programs only look at grades though.

Make sure to hit the University Fair held at the Convention Center (Atleast it was when I applied to uni... 5 years ago). They provide a plethora of information and phamphlets. Try and see which university suits you in terms of programs and living conditions. Make sure to get on their mailing lists for updated information such as site visits.

Bottom line, plan ahead. Don't make an uncalculated decision before deciding which school/program to attend.

and dont forget the keychains, i came home with like 10 of them . Applying is really simple your school will have an assembaly and will give you ur ouac number so you can apply online. its $100 for 3 programs and $33 for each additional like LNahid said. but be wise with your choices i know some ppl that only applied for 3 and got in and others spent upwards of $1500 and didnt get into any programs. sooo study hard. ps. I know your secret red_roses
