Wrong forum. You're looking for this one.

Both of those 281DPB monitors you listed are the exact name, just under a different brand with a different warranty and sold through another retailer.

To answer your question though, it depends. If you plan on using devices other than a computer, like a console, media player or TV input, then you don't want any of them. None of them support 1:1 pixel mapping. The newer model HF-289HJB does, but I don't think you can even get it in Canada.

If you just want to use it for a computer, then I am way too biased against TN panels to give you a good answer. Either get a good 24" panel for the same money, or spend a little extra for Dell's 27" or a 32" 1080p TV.

The last one (Hannspree) has HD+SD TV tuner, (and speakers too of course) which makes it pretty hot compared to the other two, if that's what you need.

Edit: seems like your price is mixed up -- the Hanns·G HG-281DPB is 449.99, and the Hannspree with HDTV tuner is 479.99. So not as hot ...

ive had the i-inc for a while, good monitor for the price. But ive seen it as low as 399$ CDN, so 440 isnt that hot.

They've had it for 399 a few months ago. I think after US dollar went up in price, so did these monitors. My guess is that you won't see 399 price point until $US falls again relatively to $CDN or the monitor becomes more outdated.

Alright price for a 28" but I'd wait and go for a 32" 1080p HD TV.

Got the I-Inc 28'' monitor last november as a gift from the ol' girl friend.
It's a nice upgrade from a 22'' monitor i was using and i have it set up right next to my 32'' LCD TV.

i don't think 32'' is very viable, simply because the price is kind of high right now and the resolution isn't even as high as the I-Inc's 1920x1200 max resolution. I think it should about screen real estate rather than just size - more pixels on screen just equals more room to operate

My TV's only 720p but it's good enough for HD download content from my computer and Blu-rays as well as games form my PS3.
