Anyone know of good all you can eat sushi places in the GTA for around $20?

Usually got to
1) Katsu by Pape & Danforth Area (HARD to find parking, not as much selection as other places)
2) Sushi Hut - Warden & Steeles Area (Great place - just hard to get seats)
3) Yang's sushi bar or something by Hwy7 and Warden
Nice place if you can get a seat - made reservations once - went there they said "1 minute" 30mins later again with the 1 minute
30mins later was at Katsu ordering food...

Need other good sushi buffet places to go near the scarborough/markham area

Umi now has horrible food in my opinion. Conversely, the place at Alton Towers (McCowan & Steeles) HAD horrible food, but now has much improved. Your mileage may vary.

Regarding Warden & Steeles... Destiny... they were doing great, but now I find they've gotten progressively worse after the buffet started.

NB: The best so far has to be the one on Highway 7 and.... damn forgot but it's in a corner... past Times and Commerce. Else, there's always the one on top of the hotel at Kennedy & 401.

I had Horrible service at Umi a week ago.

Rice was way to wet and the waitresses were barking orders "You have to eat this" and was pointing to the bones on the salmon neck.

So thats now on my Boycott list.

My Sushi on Yonge South of Finch has never forsaken me in 3 years and Sushi Hutt is ok during week days when you can actually get seats.

Destiny has better selection of Sashmi than all of the other places.

Maybe its time to organize a RFD Sushi Outing!

Of course you should eat the bones... hehehehe... I went to Umi last week (not for buffet) I thought the quality was okay. I prefer Korean sushi places over Chinese ones. Much better food and quality..

My first AYCE sushi was Shintori Buffet at Yonge and Charles, but their sushi selection is a little soft. They have a lot of other items though. There's also Sushi King at Yonge and Hayden, just south of Bloor. Theirs is $17.99 and made to order, but I didn't think much of the quality the time I went. It's also only from 4 PM on, I believe.

I liked Katsu best, IMHO.

Destiny is the one on warden and bamburg (sp?) circle? beside the MacDonald?

The only thing i like about that place is they had Sashmi white tuna... other than that their menu is a lot smaller than Yang's sushi bar..

Any one know where there is a place that got Tuna on their Sashmi menu??

Tokyo Sushi is good. Shintori used to be decent. It makes me feel sick now.

Haruba Japanese Restaurant - Kennedy/McNicoll
Not bad... started to have All-You-Can-Eat before X'mas 03. Go on the weekdays... do not go on the weekends, as sometimes when they're busy, they lost your orders.

Tenichi - On Sheppard, East of McCowan
It was decent but turned out not as good as some other rest. which were mentioned above by other members. Did not go there since summer, so that no late comments.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this one, Yang's Sushi Bar - On Hwy 7 West of Main Street Unionville.
Went once only.... was packed but service is ok. Food wasn't that remarkable but not poor.

Nagoya - 14th/Kennedy Plaza.
So-called they have the most different kind of Japanese foods in town as a all-u-can-eat restaurant. They always mess up your order, especially when they're busy like hell on the weekends.
