I know its frowned about to use ebay, but this is more of a store.
try www.half.ebay.com for your textbooks, most you can pick up relatively cheaper than your university bookstore. I got a Differential Equations text that sold for $99.95 for $29.78 delivered, this was a special case but most will save you the tax plus maybe 10-20 percent Last edited by jeremy_harq; Aug 13th, 2005 at 08:26 AM.. |

For textbooks, I find that it's best to search around. Use the book title or ISBN number to search using Google. If you can, get an international edition, it usually costs less than half the price of the North American edition. Everything is identical, except for maybe the cover.

amazon usually has a good collection of new and used textbook. (Not ALL textbooks, but some you can find on there)
Or better yet, split up with friends, photocopy. (I personally don't like photocopied ones, but I see more and more ppl do that now a days) Lastly, look for postings around school, you'll find a lot of those during the first few weeks. |

Used bookstores or flyers from students selling their textbooks are your best bets. Also, it REALLY helps if you become friends with someone ahead of you in the same course, and establish a steady line of used books flowing towards you...

Finding someone one year ahead of you who will sell you all their texts is the easiest. Next I'd try the used book store or flyers around campus.
