Arrow So I got an official warning and was wondering...

if anyone knew when an "official warning" would get off my "record".

I was out in Jasper (national park) on the weekend doing some cliff diving and one of those park rangers came by and caught me and a few buddies with some cans of beer and wrote us all up.

Now...my three friends were quite idiotic and gave them all accurate information were I tried to give a different name/address combo..unfortunately my idiot friends kept correcting me.

Park Ranger: What is your name?
Me: Rick Trebuchet
Idiot friend: What? It's *insert real name*

Same thing happened with my address and everything..though I did manage to misspell my real name....

I was curious if;

a) My name (mispelled) is now in a registry there and they'll see I got in trouble for this when I drive through the park.. (the ranger said so..but I am not sure...)
b) Since he has my license plate number if it's recorded....
c) Do I stay in this "warning" database forever?
d) If I give them my real spelled correctly name next time if they will still correlate the incidents based on my address/car/close spelling

The park Ranger dude did say next time I was caught with a beer in the park I would get a $XXX ticket....

also...on a sidenote...the park ranger had HIS name tattoo'd onto his arm...who the **** does that? He had a giant "Rick" on his forearm...

You need to give your friends a quarter each to buy themselves an effin' clue so that the next time (if there is one) you're trying to give false info to avert the authorities, they know to keep their mouths shut.

Personally, I wouldn't suggest anybody give false info to police. But that's just my 2 cents.

If you don't have proof of ID, it should be fine. OP, you have some very dumb friends.

It is PARK RANGER not police.
I would not worry about this.
Not like you will not be able to get Top Secret clearance when you join CSIS because of a beer infraction.

WTF. Is Jasper a dry park now? How could you not be allowed to have beer?

Last I heard, you are 18, right?

As for your buddies, give them a swift kick in the nads next time, and make em walk back from Jasper if you drive...

Giving false info is a big no no. If they have your licence plate #, they can look that up and see who you really are.

Again, ALL THIS FOR A COUPLE OF BEERS??? Did I miss something??? Did you actually get a $$ ticket?

You're now on record with Homeland Security and they've passed it on the the global elite. They know how to deal with trouble makers.

You should have argued for it. My friends and I were camping and got a ticket for drinking in public and we convinced the ranger to take the ticket back.

You aren't allowed beer in any national park my friend, never have been..never will be....

I was pissed..it wasn't like I was drunk or anything...we had a picnic lunch that had 8 cans of beer in it...hah well..

I got a written warning and it said I will be registered into the parks system if I have any future "infractions" I'll be fined...

It's probably because people have a habit of littering the cans and bottles wherever they see fit.

I've been interior camping in Algonquin Park, and the rangers there are very strict about prohibiting canned goods.

Then they might as well banned bottled water, pop, bags of chips, whatever the hell else that produces garbage.
