Default Small Energy Efficient Light Bulbs

Hello, I bought a lamp at IKEA that takes small sized bulbs (not regular light bulbs, the part that screws in to the light is small). IKEA had the energy efficient bulbs for sale, but I didn't buy them because I assumed the price was jacked up. The lamp I have takes 3, so a 4 pack would work.

I haven't been able to find them anywhere else though. Does anyone know where I can find them?

Cheers.

i've also been looking for energy efficient bulbs with the mini base for bathroom vanity lights. I'm not sure what kind of lamp you have, but I've seen energy efficient minibulbs made by philips at Home depot, but they only came in candle shape (I'm looking for round bulb shape).

I made the same mistake recently. Bought a lamp from Ikea that used those small base bulbs. Skipped on the Ikea ones thinking I could get better/cheaper elsewhere. No such luck. I went to Home Depot, Rona and Canadian Tire and there aren't any CFLs with those small bases. Had to go back to Ikea to get them.

I too am looking for these bulbs.

Cheapest place I found them is Lowes online in the US @ 2 for $10 USD, maybe the brampton store will carry this for a decent price.

Home Depot want's $8 for one (Philips), Ikea sells two version, 2 pak for $15 and 1 for $7. (2 pack is small round bulb, individual is regular twisted CFL)

I've not seen this anywhere else, our home have a bunch old style chandler that I could replace the bulbs, but at $7 a pop, it's pretty expensive.

I have found the mini-spirals CFL at two places - Canadian Tire (NOMA brand), and Wal-Mart (brand is either ENERSAVER or GLOBE, cant' remember which). I bought them on-sale, but I'm not sure about the regular price.

I'm looking for these too, to replace the lights in our bathrooms. They all have the mini-threaded vanity bulbs in them, and no other lights. Thanks for the info, I'll check these two places out now.

This week's Canadian Tire flyer (to Thursday Feb 21, 2008), has NOMA 13W, 6-pack ultra-mini CFL for $11.86 (Reg $17.49).

I have a lot of standard size (Type A) mini-spirals that I got at CT or Costco.

Were the ones you bought Type A (standard base) or Type B (mini base)?
