Are you going?

Anybody find these types of things useful? I've only been to one, SES last year and I don't think it was worth it... I actually got in for free, but I think the reg price was like $500-1000

ehhhh.. I told myself I would go to more conferences this year but I dont know. This one doesnt seem to exciting to me. Lots of the program seems kind of dated.

You need to go to Webmasterworld instead. Vegas in November . The sessions are the best you'll find. SES is for cruising for corporate clients and networking (i.e excuse to drink and party with friends), not for attending sessions to learn stuff. You go to sessions at SES if you're the VP of a large company and decide you need a handle on this new internet thing you've been hearing about . You go to a session, hear that you need to build links somehow, then go hire someone to actually build them. WMW will get closer to showing you how to actually build those links. Heck, if you go, we could even have a beer!

I do go to SES in TO and SES NY, but these days I only get the conference hall pass. Actually, SES in NY you can easily spend a day just in the conference hall. It's freaking huge - I love it. (I'm told SES San Jose is even better + parties at Google and Yahoo, but I haven't been yet).

Rehan, do you go to these things? Seems like WMW and some of the other online conferences are well suited for affiliate type program learning for RFD.
