[HSBC] hsbc is offering $50 for opening new direct account

More offers from HSBC
Guess competition is a good thing. hsbc is now offering $50 instead of the previous $25 - that I'm still waiting for them to deposit into my account...
Guess they have to do something to combat ING and PC financial who are all offering something but I still think that fee free ABM withdrawals & Interac purchases are pretty sweet.

Anyone know if other banks are offering cash or other goodies to open an account? I got that free ipod a couple years back from td.

Can existing HSBC customers get this offer? I am not banking on-line but do have an in-branch savings account.
Have a nice day!

Thanks, I just applied. It's good I held off from the $25 offer. :-)

I think your cheque should have at least $100 on it.
