[Future Shop] Another hot'n'spicy VoIP DLINK adapter deal ~3.5$

This one is a D-link VTA-VC, 79.99$ at stooples, 9.99 at FS.

http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/prodde ... &langid=EN

Just got two today in MTL, don't know about other availability and how long it will last.

9.99 - (79.99-9.99)*0.1 + taxes = 3.42$ !!!!

I believe this one is also unlockable and the real thing looks much better than the pictures.

To unlock: http://www.bargainshare.com/index.php?showtopic=87504

The Linksys PAP2 is a stand-alone phone adapter. It features 1 Ethernet port and 2 phone ports (line 1 and line 2). It is intended for customers that already have a router in their network configuration.

You could also PM BB and FS is $64.99
BB: http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetai ... atid=23092

FS: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/prodde ... atid=23014

Dlink Same price as above PMable only at FS

Features:
Use your existing phone to make and receive calls with Vonage
Plug the adapter into your router and plug your phone (or fax) into the RJ-11 phone ports
No need to leave your computer running while you make calls
Ports: 2 RJ-11 (phone), 1 RJ-45 (LAN)

Staples : http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Catalog/cat_s ... xedCode=WW

FS: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/prodde ... atid=23014
This adapter, like the linksys, was $9,95 at staples a few days ago and fs lowered theirs prices, now staples price is $79,95 and fs will update theirs prices soon or maybe not

says OOS on FS' website, so I'm guessing Staples will refuse to PM.

is there any specific version of this that you're supposed to get? a certain S/N?

Title is misleading, this is not a PAP2 adaptor. (gosh I almost have a heart attack since I am looking for one).

Is a great deal, I recommend to go buy it at FS and then go to Staples an PM with receipt in hand. FS downtown had at least 6 in stock on saturday afternoon (around 4pm)

This means that you can price match the deal at futureshop with stooples'. You can go and buy one at FS then go to stooples to show them the receipt and they will give you the same price plus a discount of 10% of the difference. Or just prove to them that ther eis stock at that price. Go read the price matching guide, I was a noob too...

Also, just to really spell it out, this adapter only works for vonage as is, but you can unlock it so that you can use just about any VoIP company like VoIPbuster to make calls using your home phone and highspeed. Hope this helps!

Anybody know which codecs it supports? I'm unable to find much info on it... Would be a good deal if it supports low bandwidth codecs (for me anyways!)
Where's the beef?

Well, the fact that you have it in your hands will prove that you found stock.

Just to make sure, this means I can use this with the VOIPbuster software and I will be able to make phone calls with it using a regular phone??

Yes, AFTER you unlock it. You can put the username/password/server settings in the adapter like a router and enter a dialing rule to make your life easier after when you dial. Then you hook up the phone and the high speed to it and you will get a dial tone and everything. Enjoy unlocking it!
