Default selloffvacations.com experiences?

I'm looking into booking a vacation for 10 or so from them this week, but I wanted to check here for people's opinions and experiences with them first, before i make my investment. So what are peoples experiences with them like, for those who have booked with them before? Good? Bad?

Thanks

If you're using selloff, be sure and buy through http://drm-sax.softvoyage.com/cgi-bi...=drm&alias=drm

The prices are several dollars cheaper.

I bought a vacation package through SellOffVacations last year (to Dominican) and they had the best prices, bar none. After talking to them on the phone, they confirmed my booking and the tickets/info arrived about half a month before the departure date. Overall, I was very impressed. The best part was going to a few local agencies and saying here's where I want to go and here's how much SellOff is offering it for - can you match/beat it? The answer was always "no way...not even close." ;-)

I've gone to Dominican twice, Cuba and Jamaica all through Selloffvacations in the last 3 years. Every time has worked out great and the prices were great. Paid $1450 including tax for an all inclusive week in Jamaica for two.

Just bought a plane ticket to Frankfurt through their Selloffairfares but not leaving until May.

I recommend them, no issues in the many times I've dealt with them.

Cheers,
-RTK

id rather spend the extra $20 each for an actual website...even if it is "powered by softvoyage" which most online places are...where is the main page and is it TICO insured? no info...no thanks...

I used Sellofvacations but I had a hell of a time getting money back from them when something went wrong. Their customer service sucks

I went to cancun last april through sell off vacations and had no problems. we booked our tickets about a week and a half before we left, so we had to pick them up at the airport. there was no problem at all! I did have to ask that they send me a confirmation via fax though, as they do not do this automaticlly. overall they were great and the prices were by far the cheapest.

I normally deal with www.holidaymarkettravel.com. I find them to have the cheapest rates. Selloff will match it and give you an extra 10% discount on the difference but the hassle to prove that for a $1 or $2 savings isn't really worth it.
Just a sidenote, I use to work for selloffvacations and with the pay they give, don't expect A+ customer service. They are just there to take down bookings and go to the next caller.
However, as tyrred2 mentioned they should have been able to answer his three questions, but since he bought it online, they usually will not have that information readily available for another 15 min to an hour depending on how busy they are.

Last month I booked a trip though bookitforless.ca which saved me $40pp so check them out too. I was told by other companies they couldn't match or beat the price because bookitforle$$ caters specifically to Toronto customers and those prices are only low if you book online. If you want to book over the phone it costs you an extra $50. I had no issues booking online and had a great vacation.

Dream Vacations Inc. (that link) is the parent company of the online SelloffVacations.com. Both have the same TICO registration. BTW, you should be concerned if they are IATA members moreso than TICO, as the latter is only required by Ontario-based companies. Are you going to give up on CheapTickets.com, Priceline.com or Air Canada's Destina.ca (and others) since they are not Ontario based and therefore not TICO members? What about travel agencies that are in Alberta, B.C. etc? They aren't TICO members either.

Selloffvacations normally has low prices but most often holidaymarkettravel.com or travel222.com beats their prices. Be sure to check those prices before signing with Selloffvacations.. and maybe a few more sites.
