Thanks for your hard work. Your weekly posts are very useful.

Also this week they are selling the CT house brand Formula 1 Full Synthetic Oil, 4 liters for about 16 bucks. Good deal if you like synthetic.

Thanks again ag2000. Nothing of interest this round though. This may be one of the few weekends I don't go to CT.

Hey ag2000... have you considered making the posting in an external HTML editor and just pasting the HTML in after the fact (using the BB being/end HTML tags)

It might make it easier.. I duno?

Thanks for the suggestion brunes, I may actually try it....

I meant new CT site design, not RFD design, where you can no longer go through each page of online flyer to look for deals, they have separate sections instead.

So external editor will not help here....However it may help with another issue with minor RFD design change, and I've learned about it hard way :

When some program opens new URL in the same window where posting is being created (I have RSS feedreader for example which uses current active window to display the content) with previous RFD design you could press "back" button and save or continue your unfinished posting.

With new design content of posting is totally lost after pressing "back button" (I found out about it by losing my 90% complete posting on friday). To be exact this is not a design issue and I am not even sure it can be changed but I think it is good idea to mention about it so someone else does not repeat my mistake.

So at this point I am "backing up" posting time to time anyway, and external editor sound like a good idea from this standpoint...

I have another idea : if many RFD'ers also think that CT should continue to provide "full view" of their online flyer, send your feedback to customerservice@canadiantire.ca and tell them that you like to browse through all pages of their online flyer without going back to main page with categories, like it was implemented in old CT site design.

Default I got the hammer drill

I think this is a great deal.

Keep in mind you can turn the hammering action on and off. So you get a powerful corder drill with case, and a set of unusual bits like masonary etc...

As a bonus you have a hammer drill if you ever need it.

I also grabbed the rake, which works really well for 6$ INMHO. Better then the rakes I used to use at my folks house

I also grabbed some of ag's recommended Jobmate tool sets yesterday as well for 10$ each. These fold up really nice and would be ideal to store in your trunk to have on hand. I may keep these or gift em.

Another reoccuring deal is the 4 pack tie down set for 10$, reg 27$ I think. I don't think they have been this cheap before. You get 2 ratcheting and 2 sliders. Very handy again to store in the car.

The cutter disc pack for the angle grinder is an excellent deal as well. I think I am going to go pick that up even though i have no foreseeable need for it atm...

Last year I had to cut through a bunch of cement in my basement, and I went through about 10 of those discs at 3-4 dollars a pop.

That is exactly how i look at it. I get jigsaw and sabre saw blades, drill bits on sale for 60 or 70% off. I probably have more then I'll ever need, But when they break at that price I hardly care, especially when I have some on hand. If I had to go pay full price when I actually need them, I would die. Well maybe not .... but almost

One other deal I forgot, the gracious living drawer on whels for 20$. this has been on before, but keep in mind thi smodel has 5 drawers i believe. I have a few of these now and since storage is so ridiculously priced these days these are very good value in my opinion.

As an idea I just built a garage, and instead of spending several hundred dollars on "professional" tool boxes of steel, i may just get a bunch of these things. Good for small and lighter stuff, and put the heavier tools on a shelf or hang them up.

I tried to read the flyer on the website on Friday and it's a total pain in the ass now. I just sent them an email to ask them to bring back the way it used to work. I would encourage everyone who enjoys these Canadian Tire threads or uses the CT website to do the same.

You can e-mail them at customerservice@canadiantire.ca, or you can fill out a feedback form online at https://ctsupport.canadiantire.ca/customer_service.html

Let's see if we can use the "RFD effect" for something besides wiping out stock
