Hi I have bell Expressu. I getting very good signal. Now my uncle sent me a another receiver from US. Cause i don't get some channels in here. By the way he is paying for it.
Now my question is that is possible to put both Dish on single cable instead of putting two cable wires. Cause one is dish another one is Express Vu. I tried to put splitter in between but both receivers doesn't get any satellite signal strength. 2nd is that i installed the dish and i am getting 70 - 72 signal strength but when i go to guide or try to view channels on dishnetwork it says " Acquiring satellite signal please wait" and it stuck in there for last 2 hours does nothing. this is used receiver. I was able to successfully view the channels once but since then i am stuck at that message should it try default factory setting. I am afraid if i do that i might do something wrong and my uncle be mad at me cause he paid 200 for shipping only any clues Please help thanks |

You will not be able to get both Expressvu and Dish on the Same Receiver, it used to be possible but not anymore and never was legally
You cannot use a splitter Satellite setups use Switches Expressvu as has been said uses 2 satellites at 82 and 91 degrees, depending on your channels you will need either 1 dish with 2 LNB's one aimed at each bird in the sky or 2 seperate dishes one aimed at each bird Dishnetwork uses 4 birds, 110, 119, 148 and 61.5 degrees, depending on your channel selection. To receive a programming on dishnetwork you need a signal of usually 90 or above and if I remember correctly the scale goes to 120. Most people in the NE states use 110 and 119 As a side note 100 is Direct TV not dishnet So for a good setup you will need 2 dishes each with 2 LNB's or 1 parabolic dish with 4 LNB's (very expensive). The first dish aimed at Expressvu birds 82/91 with 1 short cable coming off each LNB to an SW21 switch, from the switch 1 cable to your Expressvu receiver. The second dish aimed at Dishnetwork 110/119 birds with 1 short cable coming off each LNB to an SW21 switch, from the switch 1 cable to your Dishnetwork receiver. This is the cheapest setup for you as SW21 switches are around 15-30 dollars. Also make sure you are using RG6 instead of RG59. For multiple feeds to multiple receiver you need either SW44 or SW66 switch. You could use this method as well but SW44 and SW66 switches are close to 100 dollars. and you may still need an SW21 anyway. |
