This TV was originally listed at $1799 at BB and I was able to PM with Gibby's price of $1649 bringing it down to $1635. I then used the pizza pizza coupon for another $100 off.
Total with taxes = $1745.xx I purchased this in store at the Yonge and Dundas location. I tried to get them to take off the GST because of the online sale and they wouldn't budge. Might have helped if I had bought anything else along with the TV. Gibbys link BB link Last edited by RunningLucky; Sep 7th, 2009 at 01:17 AM.. |

the GST discount doesn't apply to that TV afaik, it's not listed on the applicable tvs so you did ok.
I've been looking at buying this tv myself for a couple months. I might have to give it a go at $1535+tax. Last edited by belowzeros; Sep 7th, 2009 at 02:59 AM.. |

1. Taxes 2. Canadians will still line up to pay We've become so used to overpaying for things in this country that it really doesn't matter if we're getting a "deal" or not. |

Hello,
I was also thinking to buy LCD TV, after reading this thread, decided to get cheaper deal as I received BB coupon worth $100. Till now I have visited, many BB in Toronto, most of the time I find difficulty getting price match with Gibbys, now the price difference between BB and gibby is $300. Due to this hudge difference, BB people make lot of excuses, about location of gibbys, return policy, whether or not they have in stock. Some of the BB said they will add shipping cost, in case if they decide to PM. The strange thing is that they say I can not use my coupon to this purchase. Not a single BB is ready to do PM and coupon at the same time. I think BB in Canada is taking advantage by using PM policy, though whenever the difference is higher, they start making excuses. Moreover, all the stores have their own policy, there is no generalized policy governed by all BB in Canada. |
