Default RFD Boxing Day Rules

Man this really sucks. I'm not blaming RFD ownership/staff as I understand their stance and you guys really do have a killer site here, but I look at RFD as a great "stick it to the man" type of information outlet where us "we little consumers" can finally band together and feel like we have some sort of power in the consumer/big business struggle. I know it's not much, but I think that is part of the appeal of RFD. At least it is for this consumer...

BTW This is all related to RFD's stance on no leaked boxing day adverts.

Edit : This was to be placed in another thread (not originally a thread on it's own), but it was locked. Just wanted to share my opinion.

I agree. Once the flyers are printed and into the delivery channels, many people have access to it. To ban them is to just kiss ass to the major sponsors. I don't buy the perceived legal threat.

Since RFD doesn't allow them, anyone know other locations/forums that do for Canada?

You might not buy the legal argument, but you didn't receive them either. The reality is that we can either work with retailers or against them. RFD and the community, in my view, should be working WITH the retailers to get the best pricing, special offers, early information, etc. Working against them means they provide less prizes, less direct information, and it hurts the reputation of our community and our members. In the long run, you're better off and RFD is better off working with retailers.

We're not out to cheat retailers, we're not trying to obtain and spread confidential information. We are a legitimate informational source and people who break the rules are just hurting everyone's chances of getting RFD-preferred deals, coupons, information, etc.
