Default renting question

this is a very general question, i tried searching around but i couldn't find any answers for it.

i just want to know what the average person/family pays for utilities in their homes each month. my wife and i and planning on renting a house with another couple, but we don't know how much utilities are going to cost. i have always rented places that are all inclusive, and i've never had to pay utilities.

how much do people pay per month in the gta area? i know this is a very general question, but i just need to get a ballpark figure

thanks

Depends if electricity is your method of heating in the winter.

I can say in Halifax, in a 2bedroom rental, with heating supplied, we pay about $50/mo for electricity.

In Edmonton, Alberta I pay:
~32/month for gas in the summer ( 2 gj )
~140/month for gas in the winter (10-12 gj)
~120/month for power/water/sewage/etc... all year (600KWH, 30meters of water)

That's on a 1600sq ft bungalow with 3 people living in it.

Edit: Realized you asked for GTA, so I put my usage figures in there, which allows you to figure out the Ontario cost if you want.
