Hi guys,
i recently bought a refurbished Acer AspireOne notebook off tigerdirect. they ran out of the one i ordered (120gb) and sent me a 160gb model instead, and the battery performance is great too, so im happy with my purchase. The only downside is, that i recently found out that it has a bios password. This doesnt prevent me from accessing the boot-device menu though (where you specify to boot off hd/flash/etc) as its a different menu. i tried flashing the bios with a newer version but the password still seems to be there. I only have 3 months (like 2 months left now) of warranty, and other than the bios password, the netbook is perfectly functional. What do you guys think i should do about it? thanks |

I'd suggest finding the jumper to reset it but how the hell you do that in a lappy, I dunno.
Edit: here's something. http://www.syschat.com/how-to-reset-...aptop-418.html

You unscrew the thing and uninstall the keyboard. Underneath that you should have access to most of the mobo.
