RedFlagDeals.com's 2nd Annual Member Awards! *INFO* VOTING - July 1st to July 15th!

July is Reader Appreciation Month at RedFlagDeals.com and as a part of the celebration, we're holding the:

2nd Annual Member Awards!

Why are we doing this?
The Member Awards are our chance as a community to recognize the members who go out of their way to make RedFlagDeals.com such a great place!

The Nomination Period
From June 23rd until June 30th you can nominate deserving members for each of the following awards by posting why you think that member should win in the appropriate award thread. Winning Users and Threads from last year aren't eligible to win the same awards this year. We want to recognize even more of our great users. Check out last year's winners and give them one more round of applause!

The Voting Period
Once the nomination period ends the administrators and moderators will choose up to ten of the nominated members and then from July 1st until July 15th registered members will be able to vote for the winner! The winner from each category will receive a $50 gift card for a store of their choosing, a RedFlagDeals.com T-shirt, and a plaque commemorating their selection!

Rules:
Please take this seriously and nominate deserving members. If vote fixing or other fraud is suspected, we reserve the right to disregard the corrupted results and select a winner.

this is RFD you know. Wouldn't want me spamming the boards just to avoid the entry fee would you?

uh oh only 7 days to nominate people...lets hope thats enough time for me to decide on the deserving members...

Just a suggestion - we should have winners of each category from different areas on the forum where possible. For example, most helpful member, we could make several awards for this - most helpful in the Hot Deals, in Computers, in Cars, etc.

it's not that easy to nominate just one for the entire RFD forum....

it'll cut us some slack to choose if sth like ^that was implemented

Can we start a new category for User with the most useless and annoying posts?

If so, MJM could be nominated

I agree. The individual sub-forums should have separated nominations because some people only post on certain sub-forums. Different posters are helpful/knowledgeable in different areas, and choosing one "best" poster is like comparing apples and oranges.

I guess Ryan doesn't check this thread..

It's not doable this year, but we'll consider it for next year.
