Default Quick question about court dates -11(b)

MY wife received 2 speeding tickets in the month of October 06 and NOvember 06. Both were minor offences with speeding of 10km-12km over posted. At that time I had filed for notice for trail. Even after 21 months I have not received a date for the trail. I have checked her driving record and it does not show any convictions.

As a family we may have to leave Toronto for a few months and I am worried that I do not receive a notice in our absence.

Should I go to the court and try to speak to the Prosecutor? Or should I speak to the clerk to determine if they have the tickets in their record?

The court office should be able to give you an update on the status of a court date.

If it does not exist in their system, what happens?

I know all offences are tracked in a database, so there should be some form of disposition, whether the charge was dropped/withdrawn, or still in the court sysem in some format.
