hey i was gonna play multiplayer halo 2 with some freind today with 4 controllers and realised that my 4th controller port does not function anymore. i tried putting a different controller in it that i know works and it wouldn't detect it either.
does anyone know a fix? i can't go back to microsoft with it cuz my box is moded and i don't wanna get a new one cuz i don't wanna go through the hassle of re-modding it. Regards, Miner |

There's no such thing as a "software" fix for this.
Basically the Xbox is using a slightly modified USB controller and yours sounds busted (or shorted). Check the wire connectors first for "breaks". If you find none, you'll have to replace 'em. On the V1.0/v1.1 Xbox'es once you find the part they are easy to replace. Go to xbox-scene for spare parts. |
