Any cartridges with integrated print heads (ie. HP, Lexmark) you won't be able to find cheap cartridge for, you'd have to use refills. Any cartridges that are chipped (ie. Epson) you won't be able to find cheap cartridge for cause of the add cost of the chip. So you're basically left with Canon printers, not the super low end ones with single cartridge colours but the ones with the individual colours. The $99 (after rebate) Canon i960 from FS is a pretty good deal if you are willing to spend that much. Great photo printer with cheap aftermarket cartridges available.

Depends really

I bought a used Epson C40UX for $20 CAD (full color + half black)
got another 5-pack black from <a href=../autolink/redirectpage.php?linkid=78 target=_blank>eBay</a> for like $10 CAD

I can't believe how CHEAP cartridges are on <a href=../autolink/redirectpage.php?linkid=78 target=_blank>eBay</a>, made me feel bad for those money I paid on retail ones

Pick a model/brand you like, search on <a href=../autolink/redirectpage.php?linkid=78 target=_blank>eBay</a> for its ink/cartridges, then decide
(ie. same with Laser printers, you need to consider refill/toner costs before you buy one)

Are there stores that sell them in Toronto?
I'm hesitent of buying online, because it seems like a hassle.

I'm leaning towards the Canon i960 or the HP 5656.
Which one is better for printing documents? I'm not really using them to print photos, but I'll print some now and then.

When will I need to buy new ink if I print just a few pages per month?
