I checked mine here is what I think.
You will get at least $2687 after Sept. 6th, you will also get Queen Elizabeth Scholarship after start of study period which is sometime in September/Oct. So another $2684. Total = $5371 released in beginning of school year. $1715 will be after Jan 01. I think this is right. Last edited by PrimoTurbo; Aug 16th, 2006 at 02:46 AM.. |

Released to date means that it has been released, which is the portion that you will receive in September. That's the loan part.
Add Millenium Access Grant and Queen Elizabeth together, and that's what you get in January. Usually, the portion that they want you to receive in September, you have to sign some papers that will prove that you are a student of whichever school. In January, that portion will probably be mailed to you. |

after a certain date in september, the first part of your funding (whatever is specified in the table) will be released. this means that after that date, you can go into your registrar's office (or whatever office) and sign your loan documents to obtain the loan cheque. youll probably have to do the same thing again when the second part of your loan is released in january. the chart is pretty idiot-proof.
the aiming for the top scholarship is credited to your tuition. this means that you wont receive a cheque for the money; itll just be subtracted from your amount owing instead. you dont apply for this yourself; youre automatically considered for it if you apply for OSAP. if you get the millenium bursary (another no-application deal), then a cheque is sent to your registrars office. grants dont have to be payed back. read here:https://osap.gov.on.ca/eng/not_secure/funds.htm |

They might be splitting that Reaching for the Top scholarship between the two terms, since there's a rule that says if the scolarship is over a certain amount (I dont remember what the amount is) they will do so.

If you applied for the Reaching for the Top scholarship (which amounts to checkmarking a couple of boxes) you will receive at least $100.
I should add that as long as you keep up an 80% GPA, you will get that amount renewed each year. |
