Yeah, the ending really let me down.

I loved the ending in Halo, the whole get the hell out before you blow up the universe. In Halo you knew that the game was almost over. In Halo2 it just sort of ends.

The ending is the one blemish on an otherwise great game. If it wasn't for xbox live the game would really have been a let down.

It is rumoured that Bungie are working on a Halo 2.5 that is supposed to tie up the story for Halo 2.

I believe it is to be a launch title for the Xbox2.

Not sure how true this is, but it could be the reason why it took Halo2 so long to be developed. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

I've read that rumour as well. Although I wouldn't get my hopes up, it is just a rumour afterall. There have been alot of crazy rumours about Halo, and all of them have been false. If there is a Halo 2.5 I'd guess that a plot advancement is not part of it. Though I will be crossing my fingers and hoping.

Though the first Halo would be in the 1%. It had an awesome ending.

That's what made Halo2 such a letdown. They set the bar so high with Halo, that they just didn't come close to that again.

Hopefully they'll set things right in Halo3.

I liked FF7, Mario 3, Mario Kart 64, and the Street Fighter 2 endings. I think it's more like 75% of endings suck.

FFX ending was pretty good I thought. Most RPG endings tie it up nicely.
Halo 2's ending sucked. Friend and I played it to the end with co-op mode and was "WTF! That's IT? "
We were pissed. All that setup for nothing.
